DESCRIPTION:Take a behind-the-scenes look at more than 70 years of aerospace innovation during December’s Community Connections Tour at Aerostar. \nWith roots dating back to Raven Industries and the earliest days of high-altitude research ballooning\, Aerostar has played a role in advancing lighter-than-air technology from right here in Sioux Falls. Over the decades\, its work has evolved from research balloons and the invention of the modern hot air balloon to high-altitude platforms\, radar systems\, protective solutions and advanced manufacturing supporting critical missions around the world. \nToday\, Aerostar continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible\, including setting a world record in 2025 for the longest continuous controllable flight in the stratosphere at 336 days. \nJoin us for a tour of Aerostar to learn more about the company’s history\, explore the technology and manufacturing happening in Sioux Falls\, and see how a local team is helping connect\, protect and save lives around the world. \nRegistration is required\, and space is limited to the first 25 participants.
