YPN offers a variety of events at all times of the day, so you’re sure to find something that fits your interests and schedule. Use our glossary to help identify what type of events you’re most interested in. Then check out our Event Calendar for specific dates and locations.
In any given week, there is at least one YPN event happening – attend as few or as many as you like! Attending a recurring event is a great way to start building connections.
Standard events
Off the Clock
Our most popular networking event is held once a month from 4:30 -6:30 p.m. at various locations around Sioux Falls. Grab some food, a drink and the opportunity to meet other YPN members in a laid-back atmosphere.
Power Lunch
Research says one of the best ways to improve your productivity at work is to take a lunch break. So check out of the office for the noon hour and enjoy lunch with us! Power Lunches are held every other month from Noon – 1 p.m. at restaurants around Sioux Falls.
Morning Buzz
Set those alarm clocks early! Morning-minded young professionals are invited to come enjoy coffee and conversation with other YPN members from 7:30-9 a.m. once a month.
A Seat At The Table
Prominent business and community leaders share their professional journey with a small group of YPN members over breakfast or lunch. This is your chance to ask questions and learn from those who’ve had an impact on our community. Register early – A Seat at the Table often sells out!
YPs Read
The best books are those you can talk over with a friend. The YPs Read book club meets monthly to discuss a professional development book. You can read every book and attend every meeting, or just join us for the one book that really piques your interest. All are welcome.
Community Connections Tour
Get an inside look at a company or major project in the Sioux Falls area by touring their facility. These tours build your understanding of the variety of businesses that make up our community.
Topics on Tap
Engage in important conversations on public policy and current issues facing our community. Topics on Tap allows you to dive in to the big issues in a casual setting. These forums are open to the public but designed with young professionals in mind.
A Sit Down with the Senator/Representative
The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce hosts each of our elected officials once a year for Inside Washington. YPN members have the privilege of visiting with our congressional representatives in a small group setting in conjunction with these events.

Birthday Bash
Getting older is something to be celebrated and we do it by inviting all our friends together for fun and networking. YPN was started in 2009, and we mark the occasion every April with our annual Birthday Bash.
YPN Golf League
The most popular golf league around is made up of young professionals! The YPN Golf League meets weekly through the summer months at a rotating local courses. You can form your own team or register as a single and we’ll assign you a group so you can meet new YPs. Watch for registration details in the spring, but be quick – this league fills up fast!
The Kringle
Celebrate the holiday season with your fellow YPs! Held in early December, The Kringle is a don’t-miss party of the year, featuring food, drinks, music and a fun photo booth.
Crossroads Summit
YPN’s signature events, the Crossroads Summit, takes place every other year in August. It is a full day of learning, networking and growth that attracts young professionals from around the region. The next Crossroads Summit will happen in 2023.
