Join us for an Seat at the Table event this May featuring Major General Mark R. Morrell. Major General Mark R. Morrell is the 23rd Adjutant General of the South Dakota National Guard. He serves as Commanding General for both the South Dakota Air and Army National Guard and guides the preparation of 4,200 Air and Army National Guard Citizen Soldiers and Airmen and 1,000 full-time Federal and State employees to respond in times of state or national emergency. General Morrell also serves on Governor Larry Rhoden’s cabinet as the principal advisor to the Governor on all matters involving use of the National Guard.General Morrell entered the Air Force in May 1999 as a distinguished graduate of South Dakota State University. General Morrell is a Command Pilot with over 3,000 flying hours, and is both a graduate of and former instructor at the United States Air Force Weapons School. He has taken part in training operations across the world and has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel along with NATOs Resolute Support Mission. Prior to being appointed President and CEO, Randy served as CFO from 1994-2010. Randy leads an outstanding group of dedicated and talented construction professionals. Duties also include developing and maintaining client relationships and overseeing corporate risk strategy. As a member of the Board of Directors, Randy works closely with the board to provide strategic direction and vision for Journey Group. Randy's community support includes serving on the boards of Avera McKennan Board of Trustees, Sioux Empire United Way, and the Sioux Falls Development Foundation. His previous support includes serving on the boards of Junior Achievement, Volunteers of America - Dakotas Foundation, the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, and the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Appeals and Business Leadership Council.
