Join us on October 15 from 1:00–2:00 PM for a special Community Connections Tour of Showplace Cabinetry in recognition of Manufacturing Month! Get a behind-the-scenes look at Showplace Cabinetry, a 100% employee-owned company that has been manufacturing cabinetry in South Dakota for more than 25 years. What began with its first factory in Harrisburg has grown into a company with more than 650 employee-owners creating American-made cabinetry for customers across the country. During the tour, attendees will get an inside look at Showplace’s manufacturing operations, learn how cabinetry moves through the production process and hear more about the company’s growth, employee-ownership culture and commitment to quality and sustainability. This is a great opportunity to see local manufacturing in action and learn more about a South Dakota company whose products can be found in homes across the nation. Over the decades, its work has evolved from research balloons and the invention of the modern hot air balloon to high-altitude platforms, radar systems, protective solutions and advanced manufacturing supporting critical missions around the world. Today, Aerostar continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible, including setting a world record in 2025 for the longest continuous controllable flight in the stratosphere at 336 days.
