No need to be a pro – all young professionals are welcome to play and spend the afternoon networking with one another. The best part? A Sit Down is a unique opportunity for YPN members to have a question and answer session with all three members of South Dakota’s federal delegation and is limited to the first 25 YPN members to RSVP. In order to attend this event, you must also register and attend Inside Washington, held after this event. All three members of South Dakota’s federal delegation will participate in a conversation with Chamber members about activity in our nation’s capital city. U.S. Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds and U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson will discuss current federal legislation and issues of importance to our local business community. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions. Moderator to be announced. This event will begin at noon and includes a plated lunch. A YPN Sit Down is open to YPN members only. Some discussions are just better with a beer! Hear from panelists Jodi Schwan, Jonathan Ellis, and Carson Walker on the front lines of the evolving media industry about the challenges and opportunities for the press in today’s world and why a strong press is as important as ever. Panel will be moderated by Megan Jansick. Networking will begin at 4:30PM with a program discussion starting at 5:00 PM. There will be time for Q&A and further networking following the program.
This action team plans tours of new projects in town, lines up phenomenal speakers and generally guides the educational elements of YPN while also looking for ways to educate YPN members about current issues in our community and encourage civic participation among young professionals. .
